Eugenio Derbez

Eugenio Derbez (also credited as Eugenio Derbez-Gonzalez and Eugenio González Derbez) is a Mexican screen artist known for his charismatic blend of comedy and heartfelt performances. Born on September 2, 1961, in Mexico City, he became a major figure in Latin American entertainment before expanding his reach to international film and television.

Across a wide-ranging career, Derbez has balanced mainstream projects with character-driven stories. His notable credits include Radical as Sergio, It’s Not You, It’s Me as Javier, Te Presento a Laura as Charlie, and the dual role of Felipe and Felipe’s Grandma in Jack and Jill. He has also appeared as himself in National Lampoon’s TV: The Movie, and took on roles in titles such as Blood of My Blood and Girl in Progress.

Derbez is equally recognized for work behind the microphone, lending Spanish-language voices to characters in localized versions of popular U.S. films. His voice work has helped bring major family franchises to Spanish-speaking audiences, strengthening his reputation as a versatile performer across mediums.
