Euros Lyn
Euros Lyn is a Welsh television and film director from Cardiff, Wales, celebrated for shaping some of Britain’s most talked-about modern dramas. A multiple BAFTA Cymru winner, he has built a reputation for confident storytelling, strong performances, and cinematic pacing across genres.
Lyn is widely associated with the BBC’s long-running sci‑fi phenomenon Doctor Who, where he directed key episodes, including David Tennant’s farewell story, The End of Time. His credits also span major hits such as Sherlock, ITV’s acclaimed crime drama Broadchurch, and the genre-bending anthology Black Mirror, demonstrating a range that moves easily from mystery to speculative drama.
He continued that versatility with work on the BBC fantasy adaptation His Dark Materials, and in 2016 expanded into features with his debut film, the Welsh-language thriller Y Llyfrgell. On-screen, he is also known for appearances including Doctor Who Confidential (as himself) and a small role in Heartstopper (as a security guard).
