Fawn Veerasunthorn

Fawn Veerasunthorn (also credited as Prasansook “Fawn” Veerasunthorn; Japanese: ファウン・ヴィーラスンソーン) is a Thai screen artist known for directing and story work in modern Disney animation. Born October 6, 1981, in Chonburi, Thailand, she built her career by shaping character-driven narratives through visual storytelling.

Veerasunthorn became widely recognized for her contributions as a storyboard artist on major Walt Disney Animation Studios releases, including Frozen (2013), Moana (2016), and Zootopia (2016). Her storyboard work helped define key sequences, tone, and emotional pacing across these globally popular films.

She later stepped into a leadership role as Head of Story on Raya and the Last Dragon (2021), guiding story development from concept through final narrative beats. In 2023, she made her feature directing debut with Disney’s Wish, co-directing alongside Chris Buck—marking a major milestone in her progression from storyboard artistry to feature filmmaker.

From Chonburi to Hollywood animation, Veerasunthorn’s career reflects a steady rise powered by craft, clarity of storytelling, and a distinctive sense of cinematic rhythm.
