Frank C. Turner

Frank C. Turner (born June 2, 1951, in Wainwright, Alberta) is a Canadian screen actor also credited as Frank Turner. He trained at the University of Alberta, earning a BFA in theatre in 1975, then spent his early career performing on stages across Western Canada and Ontario before relocating to Vancouver in 1983 to focus primarily on film and television work.

Over the years, Turner has become a familiar character presence in genre films and dramas alike. Notable screen credits include The Fly II (as Shepard), Snow Falling on Cedars (as a Juror), Alone in the Dark (as Sam Fischer), The Big White (as Dave), Missing in America (as Dinky), Try Seventeen (as the Custodian), Andre (as John Miller), and I Know What I Saw (as the Photographer).

Beyond acting, Turner is also an accomplished iconographer. Beginning in the early 1990s, he pursued Byzantine iconography studies under respected teachers and has produced dozens of icons for individuals and churches in the Vancouver area. He has also offered private instruction, helped found a sacred arts guild, and contributed to arts education through advisory work.
