Garance Marillier

Garance Marillier (born February 11, 1998, in Paris, France) is a French screen actress best known for her breakthrough lead performance in Raw (2016), where her intense portrayal helped make the film an international talking point.

Before acting became her focus, Marillier trained as a musician, studying trombone and classical percussion at the Conservatoire of Paris’ 11th arrondissement. That early discipline fed naturally into performance: she began theater work in 2009 with the Dyonis company, then continued her craft at the renowned Cours Florent (from 2010) and later at École du Jeu (from 2012).

Following Raw, she expanded her range across contemporary French cinema, appearing in titles such as Junior, It’s Not a Cowboy Movie, Parisian Hustle, French Frights, Favours, and Gone Youth. She also took on the role of Marinette Pichon in Marinette, continuing to build a filmography defined by bold characters and emotionally precise work.
