Gary Lennon

Gary Lennon is an American playwright and television writer best known for shaping character-driven, high-stakes drama on premium cable. Working across writers’ rooms and the executive producer level, he has become a key creative voice behind several modern series.

Lennon serves as a showrunner on Starz hits Power and Hightown, where he also holds an overall development deal—positioning him at the center of the network’s scripted slate. Beyond Starz, he is an executive producer on HBO’s Euphoria, contributing to the show’s bold, contemporary storytelling.

His work has earned major industry recognition: in 2013, Lennon and the creative team behind season one of Orange is the New Black received a Peabody Award, honoring the series’ impact and craft. He is also associated with the project Shoal, credited as director.
