Gaten Matarazzo

Gaten Matarazzo (also credited as Gaten John Matarazzo III) is an American screen and stage actor born on September 8, 2002, in New London, Connecticut. He first built his craft in live theater, earning early attention on Broadway with roles in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and later Les Misérables, where his performance showcased a confident mix of comedy, heart, and musicality.

Matarazzo became a global fan favorite as Dustin Henderson on Netflix’s hit sci‑fi horror series Stranger Things (2016–2025), a breakout role that cemented him as one of his generation’s most recognizable young performers. He also expanded his presence on the platform as the host of the hidden-camera series Prank Encounters.

Beyond television, he has continued to diversify with both live-action and voice work. Notable credits include Honor Society (as Michael Dipnicky) and animated projects such as My Father’s Dragon (voice of Boris the Dragon) and The Angry Birds Movie 2 (voice of Bubba). He has also appeared as himself in Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, while continuing to take on eclectic roles across film and animation.
