Geoff Bell
Geoff Bell (born February 24, 1963, in London, England) is an English screen actor known for bringing tough, grounded intensity to British crime and drama. With a career built on sharply observed character work, Bell has become a familiar presence in films that explore loyalty, violence, and the pressures of street life.
He is widely recognized for roles in modern UK genre staples, including Green Street Hooligans (as Tommy Hatcher), Mean Machine (as Ratchett), The Business (as Sammy), and I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead (as Arnie Ryan). His performances often balance menace with humanity, making even supporting parts feel lived-in and memorable.
Bell’s credits also include The Heavy (as Frank Marshall) and The Reeds (as Croker), along with a turn in Woody Allen’s Scoop as Strombel’s co-worker. Across films large and small—including Oh Marbella!—he continues to be valued for authenticity, restraint, and a distinctly London edge.
