Helen Mirren

Dame Helen Mirren (born July 26, 1945, in Hammersmith, London) is an English screen and stage actor celebrated for rare, across-the-board excellence in film, television, and theatre. Also credited as Helen Lydia Mironoff and Helen Lydia Mirren, she has amassed a career defined by versatility, precision, and commanding presence.

Mirren’s foundation was forged onstage, beginning with the National Youth Theatre and a breakout turn as Cleopatra that led to the Royal Shakespeare Company.
