Henry Cavill

Henry Cavill (also credited as Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill) is a British screen actor born on May 5, 1983, in St. Helier, Jersey, in the Channel Islands. He broke through with period and adventure storytelling, building a reputation for classical leading-man presence paired with modern action credibility.

Cavill’s early film work included The Count of Monte Cristo (as Albert Mondego), followed by prominent roles in features such as Tristan & Isolde (Melot) and Stardust (Humphrey). He continued expanding his range with darker genre fare like Blood Creek (Evan Marshall) and later headlined the mythic action film Immortals as Theseus.

Internationally, Cavill is widely recognized for playing Superman in DC’s cinematic universe, and for his television work as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, including behind-the-scenes appearances such as Making The Witcher: Season 2 as himself. He has also brought a sharp, charismatic edge to Sherlock Holmes in Netflix’s Enola Holmes.

Across blockbuster franchises and character-driven projects, Henry Cavill remains a bankable, versatile performer whose filmography spans fantasy, historical drama, and high-stakes action.
