Honor Swinton Byrne

Honor Swinton Byrne (born October 6, 1997, in London, England) is a British screen actor whose early work quickly positioned her as a distinctive new presence in contemporary cinema. Raised in a creative family, she is the daughter of acclaimed actor Tilda Swinton and Scottish playwright and visual artist John Byrne.

Swinton Byrne’s first on-screen appearance came as a child, playing the younger version of her mother’s character in Luca Guadagnino’s I Am Love (2009). A decade later, she made her adult feature debut in Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir (2019), delivering a closely observed performance that drew attention for its emotional precision and naturalism.

She returned to the role of Julie in The Souvenir: Part II, further expanding the character’s arc, and has continued to build a varied filmography with credits including Drift (as Helen), All Five Eyes (as Marion), Fuze (as Clareese), and She Always Wins (as Stella). She has also appeared as herself in The Souvenir: Reality / Fiction / Confusion / Inspiration, reflecting her growing profile within modern British film.
