Hope Davis

Hope Davis (born March 23, 1964, in Englewood, New Jersey) is an American screen and stage actress known for grounded, intelligent performances across drama, thriller, and character-driven indie films. She is also credited internationally under names such as 홉 데이비스, Гоуп Дейвіс, and هوپ دیویس.

Over a career spanning decades, Davis has appeared in more than 20 feature films, building a reputation for playing emotionally precise, often quietly formidable women. Her work ranges from studio projects to independent cinema, where her naturalistic style and sharp timing have made her a reliable presence in ensemble casts and leading roles alike.

Among her best-known film credits are Arlington Road as Brooke Wolfe, Flatliners as Anne Coldren, and About Schmidt as Jeannie Schmidt. She also delivered memorable turns in Synecdoche, New York as Madeleine Gravis, Hearts in Atlantis as Elizabeth “Liz” Garfield, and Mumford as Sofie Crisp, continuing more recently with roles in Cat Person and Final.
