Jac Schaeffer
Jac Schaeffer (also credited as Jacqueline Schaeffer and Jacqueline S. Schaeffer) is an American screenwriter and producer recognized for character-driven genre storytelling and high-concept television. Born in 1978, she has become a prominent creative voice across film and streaming, with credits that span original features and major franchise work.
Schaeffer first drew wide attention with her feature debut TiMER (2009), a smart romantic sci-fi that showcased her knack for blending emotional stakes with speculative ideas. The film helped establish her as a writer capable of balancing humor, intimacy, and inventive premises.
She later became closely associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, contributing to the early story development of Black Widow and expanding Marvel’s TV ambitions. Schaeffer created the Disney+ miniseries WandaVision, praised for its format-bending approach, and followed it by creating Agatha All Along, further exploring the franchise’s supernatural corner.
