Jacob Tremblay

Jacob Tremblay (also credited as 제이콥 트렘블레이, 雅各·特倫布雷, and Джейкоб Тромблей) is a Canadian screen actor born on October 5, 2006, in Vancouver, British Columbia. He broke through internationally with Room (2015), delivering a remarkably mature performance that earned him the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer and made him the youngest nominee in the SAG supporting-actor category.

After that breakout, Tremblay broadened his range with emotionally grounded roles, including the drama Wonder (2017) and the coming-of-age comedy Good Boys (2019). His work is often noted for its naturalism—balancing vulnerability, humor, and intensity without losing authenticity.

Alongside live-action projects, Tremblay has become a sought-after voice performer. He has voiced major characters across animation, including leads in Orion and the Dark (Orion) and My Father’s Dragon (Elmer Elevator), and appears in credits such as Ciao Alberto and The Life of Chuck as teen Charles “Chuck” Krantz. With titles like Sovereign and House of Stairs on his slate, he continues to evolve from celebrated child actor to versatile young star.
