Jai Courtney
Jai Courtney (also credited as Jai Stephen Courtney) is an Australian screen actor born on March 15, 1986, in Cherrybrook, Sydney. He built his early momentum through smaller film and television appearances, sharpening a tough, grounded presence that soon translated well to big-budget action.
His breakthrough arrived with Jack Reacher (2012), where he played Charlie, opening the door to a run of high-profile studio roles. Courtney followed with A Good Day to Die Hard as Jack McClane, I, Frankenstein as Gideon, and Divergent as the intimidating Eric Coulter, while also taking on grittier work like Felony as Detective Jim Melic.
He is widely recognized for bringing DC’s Captain Boomerang to life in Suicide Squad and The Suicide Squad, a performance that blended menace with sharp-edged humor. Beyond franchise fare, Courtney has continued to pivot between action, drama, and character-driven parts, including appearances in The Water Diviner and Boys Grammar.
