Jake Weary
Jake Weary (born February 14, 1990, in Trenton, New Jersey) is an American screen artist best known for his work as an actor, with additional credits as a musician and producer. He first gained wide attention on daytime television, building early momentum with a long-running role on CBS’s As the World Turns.
Weary expanded into primetime with a key part on NBC’s Chicago Fire, then reached broader recognition playing Deran Cody on TNT’s crime drama Animal Kingdom, a series inspired by the Australian film of the same name. His performances often blend intensity with grounded vulnerability, helping him move smoothly between ensemble dramas and genre projects.
On the film side, he’s appeared in thrillers and cult favorites such as It Follows (as Hugh) and Zombeavers (as Tommy), and took on socially charged material in How to Blow Up a Pipeline (as Dwayne). He’s also widely remembered for comedic turns as Kevin in FRED: The Movie and Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred.
