Jamie Demetriou

Jamie Demetriou (born November 1, 1987, in London, England) is an English-Cypriot comedian, actor, and screenwriter celebrated for character-driven comedy and sharply observed performances across TV and film.

He rose to wider recognition as the creator, writer, and lead of the BAFTA-nominated series Stath Lets Flats, where his offbeat style and precise physical comedy helped make the show a modern cult favorite. Demetriou also gained international attention with a standout acting role in Fleabag, further cementing his reputation as a versatile scene-stealer.

On the big screen, Demetriou has built an eclectic filmography, appearing in Barbie as a Mattel executive and bringing warmth to period and literary projects such as The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (Woodville Jr.) and Catherine Called Birdy (Etienne). He has also expanded into voice work, including Strays as Chester.

Whether playing heightened originals in A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou or supporting roles in titles like Pinocchio, Get Real Dude, and Red Flag, Demetriou continues to balance writing and acting with a distinctive comedic voice.
