Jane Rosenthal
Jane Rosenthal (born September 21, 1956, in Denver, Colorado) is an American film producer and a major force in New York’s modern screen culture. She is best known as the co-founder, CEO, and executive chair of Tribeca Enterprises, the umbrella organization behind Tribeca Productions, the Tribeca Film Festival, Tribeca Studios, and the Tribeca Film Institute.
Rosenthal and actor Robert De Niro launched the Tribeca Film Festival in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, with the goal of helping restore energy and business to downtown Manhattan. Over time, the festival grew into a global platform for filmmakers, industry voices, and new storytelling formats.
As De Niro’s long-running producing partner since 1988, Rosenthal has helped bring a wide range of audience favorites and prestige projects to the screen, including Wag the Dog, Meet the Parents, and The Good Shepherd. Her work as a producer on Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
She has also appeared as herself in behind-the-scenes titles such as The Collaboration of a Lifetime: Scorsese's Epic The Irishman and Making 'The Irishman', offering a firsthand perspective on large-scale filmmaking and creative partnership.
