Jason Mitchell
Jason Mitchell (born January 5, 1987, in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American screen actor recognized for bringing intensity and authenticity to contemporary film roles. He rose to wide attention with his breakout performance as rapper Eazy-E in the 2015 biographical drama Straight Outta Compton, a portrayal that introduced him to global audiences.
Before and after that landmark role, Mitchell built momentum with parts in studio thrillers including Contraband and Broken City, both led by Mark Wahlberg. He continued expanding his range with appearances in acclaimed and high-profile projects such as Mudbound, Detroit, and the MonsterVerse adventure Kong: Skull Island, moving comfortably between grounded drama and blockbuster spectacle.
