JeeJa Yanin
JeeJa Yanin (born March 31, 1984, in Bangkok, Thailand) is a Thai screen star and martial artist celebrated for bringing high-impact Muay Thai and acrobatic fight choreography to modern action cinema. Also credited as Jeeja Chanthathanisa Tang, Nicharee Vismitananda, and Yanin Vismitananda, she built her reputation on athletic, emotionally driven performances that helped broaden the global audience for Thai action films.
Trained in Muay Thai and holding a 4th Dan black belt in Taekwondo, Yanin pairs striking technique with screen-ready physical storytelling. She also completed a bachelor’s degree at Kasem Bundit University, balancing formal education with the discipline of martial arts training that would define her on-screen identity.
Her breakthrough arrived with her feature debut as the lead in Chocolate (2008), where her portrayal of Zen showcased a distinctive blend of speed, precision, and vulnerability. She followed with prominent roles including Deu in Raging Phoenix, Wawa in The Kick, Ping Ping in The Protector 2, and Jukkalan in This Girl Is Bad Ass, later expanding into international projects such as Never Back Down: No Surrender and Hard Target 2.
In her personal life, Yanin announced in 2012 that she was expecting a child and later welcomed a son in January 2013. She was previously married to actor Andrian Robert Bowden; the couple later divorced.
