Jeff Fowler
Jeff Fowler (born July 27, 1978, in Normal, Illinois, USA) is an American director and animator whose career bridges character-driven animation and effects-heavy studio filmmaking. Known primarily for directing, he has become a recognizable name in contemporary family entertainment.
Fowler is best known for bringing Sega’s iconic speedster to the big screen, directing the live-action/CG hybrid hit Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) and continuing the franchise with its sequels. His work helped shape the tone of the series—fast, comedic, and designed for both longtime fans and new audiences.
Before his blockbuster success, Fowler earned industry acclaim for animation. His short film Gopher Broke (2004) received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film, highlighting his early talent for visual storytelling and comedic timing.
He is also credited in television, including a notable appearance in Gilmore Girls as Bob. Fowler is also known as 제프 파울러.
