Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner (also known as Jennifer Anne Garner) is an American screen and television actress born on April 17, 1972, in Houston, Texas, and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. After studying theater at Denison University, she moved to New York, building early experience on stage before landing her first on-screen work in the mid-1990s.
Garner steadily collected TV guest roles and film supporting parts, including Pearl Harbor (as Sandra) and Catch Me If You Can (as Cheryl Ann). Her breakthrough came with ABC’s spy thriller Alias, where her lead performance as CIA operative Sydney Bristow made her a household name and earned major awards recognition, including a Golden Globe and multiple Emmy nominations.
On the big screen, she became a rom-com favorite with 13 Going on 30 (as Jenna Rink) and expanded into action as Elektra in Daredevil and Elektra. Her range also shows in ensemble and character-driven hits like Juno (as Vanessa Loring), The Kingdom (as Janet Mayes), and playful comedies such as The Invention of Lying (as Anna McDoogles) and Dude, Where’s My Car? (as Wanda).
Beyond acting, Garner is known for advocacy in early childhood education, serving on the board of Save the Children USA, and for co-founding the organic kids’ food brand Once Upon a Farm.
