Jeremy Allen White

Jeremy Allen White (also credited as Jeremy White) is an American actor born on February 17, 1991, in Brooklyn, New York City. Raised in NYC, he built his career steadily with early film work before landing the role that put him on the map.

White’s breakout came as Phillip “Lip” Gallagher on the long-running comedy-drama series Shameless (2011–2021), a performance that helped earn him major industry attention, including a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination. His grounded intensity and naturalism quickly became his signature.

He reached a new level of acclaim as chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in The Bear (2022–2026), collecting three consecutive Golden Globe Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards for the role. On the big screen, he portrayed wrestler Kerry Von Erich in the biographical drama The Iron Claw (2023), expanding his range with a physically demanding, emotionally driven performance.

Beyond television and film, White has also stepped into fashion as a global ambassador for Calvin Klein since 2024. His other notable credits include Twelve, Aquarium, Movie 43, The Fourth, The Speed of Life, Bad Turn Worse, and Fingernails.
