Jeremy Platt
Jeremy Platt (born July 16, 1979) is an American screen artist best known for his work in production. Working behind the camera, he has helped shape independent genre storytelling through hands-on producing and company-building.
Platt is recognized as a co-founder of the production banner Breakaway Civilization, which he launched alongside filmmaker Adam Wingard. The company became a platform for developing and supporting bold, filmmaker-driven projects, reflecting Platt’s focus on creative collaboration and agile production.
While his on-screen presence is minimal, Platt’s impact is felt in the infrastructure of modern indie filmmaking—assembling teams, guiding projects from development to completion, and enabling directors to execute distinctive visions. His producing career continues to be associated with contemporary American independent cinema.
