Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner (also credited as Jeremy Lee Renner) is an American screen actor born on January 7, 1971, in Modesto, California. He broke through with intense early work in independent cinema, including a chilling lead turn in Dahmer, before moving into higher-profile studio projects.

Renner’s momentum built through standout supporting roles in films like S.W.A.T. and 28 Weeks Later, where his grounded presence added grit to action-driven stories. His range came sharply into focus with The Hurt Locker, earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, followed by another Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his volatile, charismatic performance in The Town.

Globally, Renner became synonymous with Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with an uncredited appearance in Thor and expanding through The Avengers and later franchise chapters, plus the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Beyond Marvel, he has remained a reliable leading man in major titles such as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, The Bourne Legacy, and Arrival, balancing blockbuster scale with character-first intensity.
