Jeremy Strong

Jeremy Strong (also known as Τζέρεμι Στρονγκ) is an American actor born on December 25, 1978, in Boston, Massachusetts. Celebrated for an immersive, detail-driven approach to performance, he has built a reputation across film, television, and theater, earning major industry recognition including Emmy, Golden Globe, and Tony wins, plus Oscar and BAFTA nominations. In 2022, he was also named among Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.

Strong studied at Yale University and further sharpened his craft at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company. He emerged on the New York stage with an off-Broadway role in Defiance before making his Broadway debut in A Man for All Seasons. His screen work soon followed, beginning with Humboldt County and expanding through projects such as The Happening, The Romantics, and Lincoln.

International attention surged with his portrayal of Kendall Roy on HBO’s Succession (2018–2023), a defining performance that helped cement his status as a leading dramatic actor. He has since continued to balance prestige films and character roles, including Armageddon Time as Irving Graff, and returned to Broadway in 2024 with An Enemy of the People, winning a Tony for his work.
