Jessica McNamee
Jessica McNamee (born February 21, 1986, in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian screen actor whose career spans popular TV drama and international feature films. She first gained wide attention on the long-running soap Home and Away, where she played Lisa Duffy, before stepping into a bigger spotlight as Sammy Rafter on the hit family series Packed to the Rafters.
In 2009, McNamee expanded her public profile by competing on Dancing with the Stars (Australia), partnered with Stefano Olivieri. Although she exited before the finale, the experience underscored her versatility beyond scripted roles.
After her early television success, McNamee deliberately pursued projects that challenged the wholesome image associated with Sammy Rafter. During production breaks, she sought edgier material—most notably the horror film The Loved Ones, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009 and helped reposition her as a bolder on-screen presence.
Since then, she has built a varied filmography, appearing in titles such as The Meg (Lori), Battle of the Sexes (Margaret Court), CHiPs (Lindsey Taylor), and taking on action roles including Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat II.
