Jimmy O. Yang
Jimmy O. Yang (also credited as Jimmy Ouyang and Au-yeung Man-Sing) is a British Hong Kong–born actor and stand-up comedian known for blending sharp observational humor with scene-stealing character work. Born on June 11, 1987, he has built a career that moves comfortably between prestige TV, studio films, and comedy specials.
Yang broke out internationally as the hilariously ambitious Jian-Yang on HBO’s Silicon Valley, a role that turned him into a fan favorite and showcased his gift for deadpan timing. He later expanded his film profile with memorable turns including Bernard Tai in Crazy Rich Asians and real-life figure Dun Meng in Patriots Day, while also popping up on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as Tang-See.
In recent years, Yang has continued to balance acting and stand-up, headlining his own comedy work such as Jimmy O. Yang: Guess How Much? and appearing in ensemble projects like 80 for Brady, Easter Sunday, and Me Time. He’s also become a sought-after voice performer, contributing to animated features including Minions: The Rise of Gru and Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.
Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghainese, Yang brings a multilingual perspective to his performances—helping him connect with global audiences across both comedy and screen roles.
