Joe Locke
Joe Locke (also credited as Joseph William Locke) is a Manx actor born on 24 September 2003 in Douglas, Isle of Man. Emerging quickly as one of the most talked-about young screen talents of his generation, Locke has built a reputation for emotionally precise performances and a natural on-camera presence.
He broke through internationally as Charlie Spring in Netflix’s Heartstopper (2022–present), a role that positioned him at the center of the series’ heartfelt coming-of-age storytelling. His work on the show earned major awards attention, including a nomination at the inaugural Children’s & Family Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Performance.
In 2024, Locke expanded his profile with Marvel, appearing in the MCU miniseries Agatha All Along as Teen—also linked to Billy Maximoff / William Kaplan—and later featured as himself in behind-the-scenes programming such as Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Agatha All Along. His credits also include projects like Black Church Bay, Elsinore, Baby, and Heartstopper Forever, reflecting a career that continues to grow across genres and audiences.
