Joel Smallbone

Joel Smallbone (also credited as Joel David Smallbone) is an Australian screen artist, singer, and performer born on June 5, 1984, in Sydney, Australia. He is widely recognized as one half of the Christian pop duo for KING & COUNTRY (also styled for KING + COUNTRY), alongside his brother Luke Smallbone—an onstage partnership that has helped shape his public profile across music, film, and live events.

On screen, Smallbone has built a varied acting résumé that blends faith-based storytelling with mainstream-friendly drama. He gained attention for his work in the feature Priceless (2016), and has continued to expand his range with roles such as Xerxes in The Book of Esther and General Antipater in Journey to Bethlehem.

Smallbone also appears frequently as himself in concert films and specials, including For King & Country - What Are We Waiting For? - The Worldwide Special, A Rush of Hope: Find Answers to Life's Questions, and Christmas with The Chosen: The Messengers.
