Joey King (also credited as Joey Lynn King) is an American screen actress born on July 30, 1999, in Los Angeles, California. A prolific performer since childhood, she became known for bringing sharp emotion and humor to both family films and high-stakes studio projects.
King’s early breakout came with Ramona and Beezus, where she played the spirited Ramona Quimby. Around the same period, she appeared in genre and blockbuster titles including Quarantine (Briana), Battle: Los Angeles (Kirsten), The Dark Knight Rises (Older Prison Child), Oz the Great and Powerful (Girl in Wheelchair / China Girl), and White House Down (Emily), steadily expanding her range.
She reached global popularity as the lead of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth film series, anchoring the coming-of-age romance with an energetic, relatable presence. Her dramatic turn as Gypsy-Rose Blanchard in The Act drew major critical attention and earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
