John Early
John Early (born January 21, 1988, in Nashville, Tennessee) is an American comedian and screen actor known for sharp, character-driven humor and scene-stealing supporting turns. Moving fluidly between TV, film, and live performance, he has built a reputation for comedy that feels both meticulously crafted and disarmingly personal.
Early first drew wider attention with television appearances including 30 Rock, where he played Jenna Maroney’s son, and with indie work such as Fort Tilden. His profile rose significantly with the cult-favorite mystery-comedy series Search Party, which ran from 2016 to 2022 across TBS and later HBO Max, showcasing his knack for blending absurdity with emotional bite.
Beyond scripted roles, he has expanded his on-screen persona through stand-up and specials, including John Early: Now More Than Ever and the concert-style collaboration Would It Kill You to Laugh? Starring Kate Berlant + John Early. His filmography also ranges from offbeat comedies like My Trip to Spain to voice work in DC League of Super-Pets as Barry Allen / The Flash.
