John Ratzenberger

John Ratzenberger (born April 6, 1947, in Bridgeport, Connecticut) is an American screen actor and prolific voice performer whose work spans film, television, and animation. Also credited as John Dezso Ratzenberger, he has built a career associated with major box-office hits, making him a familiar presence across generations of moviegoers.

After getting his start in entertainment while living in London during the 1970s, Ratzenberger worked steadily in smaller screen roles before his breakthrough on television. He became widely recognized as Cliff Clavin, the fast-talking, know-it-all mailman on the long-running sitcom Cheers, a part he played for all 11 seasons and that earned him two Primetime Emmy nominations.

Ratzenberger is equally celebrated for his near-constant connection to Pixar, beginning with Hamm in Toy Story and continuing through a string of memorable characters, including Yeti in Monsters, Inc., Mustafa in Ratatouille, and Mack (plus additional voices) in Cars. His film credits also include live-action favorites such as The Empire Strikes Back and Outland.

Beyond acting, he has hosted the documentary series Made in America and has publicly advocated for American manufacturing and entrepreneurship, alongside involvement in U.S. political campaigning.
