Jon Pointing

Jon Pointing (also credited as Jonathan Pointing) is an English actor, writer and comedian born in 1986. Known for sharp character work and modern British comedy, he has built a reputation across television, film and short-form projects, often blending dry wit with surprising emotional range.

He is widely recognised for standout roles in series such as Plebs, Pls Like and Big Boys. His performance in Big Boys earned him a 2023 British Academy Television Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance, cementing him as one of the UK’s most watchable contemporary comedy talents.

Pointing’s screen credits also include Plebs: Soldiers of Rome (Jason Brindisi), Starstruck (Dan), Murder Is Easy (Rivers), and titles like Nick Helm: The Killing Machine, Cult and Down from London. He also became a familiar face to audiences through his turn as Vlad the Vampire in Virgin Games TV commercials.

In 2024, he joined the comedy-drama Queenie as Tom Blake, part of the screen adaptation of Candice Carty-Williams’ acclaimed novel—another step in a career defined by distinctive, scene-stealing performances.
