Jonas Katzenstein
Jonas Katzenstein (born 1980) is a German screen professional best known for his work in production, with a background that bridges high-end sound and filmmaking. His career reflects a hands-on approach to storytelling, shaped by years of technical craft and creative collaboration.
He entered the industry in 2002 as an audio engineer, developing practical expertise in recording and post-production workflows. That foundation soon expanded into entrepreneurship: in 2004, Katzenstein established the Cologne-based recording studio artaudio, building a base for professional sound work and long-term creative partnerships.
In 2008, he moved further into film by co-founding augenschein Filmproduktion alongside Maximilian Leo. Through this step, Katzenstein helped shape a production platform rooted in strong technical standards and an artist-first mindset, contributing to projects where sound, structure, and cinematic vision align.
