Josette Simon

Josette Simon (also credited as Josette Patricia Simon) is a British screen and stage actress, born on November 15, 1960, in Leicester, England. Trained in London at the Central School of Speech and Drama, she developed a performance style rooted in theatre craft while building a career that spans television, film, and voice work.

She became widely recognized for her role as Dayna Mellanby in the cult British science-fiction series Blake’s 7, appearing across its third and fourth seasons (1980–1981). The part helped establish her as a versatile presence on screen, balancing intensity and wit within ensemble storytelling.

Beyond that signature credit, Simon’s filmography reflects range across drama, period pieces, and narration. Notable appearances include Somewhere to Run (as Christine), Tell That to the Winter Sea (as Kat), Bridge of Time (as Fatima), Here Is the News (as Catherine Jones), and The Beloved Ones (as Anna). She has also lent her voice as a narrator in The Boy Can’t Help It.
