Josh Gad
Josh Gad (also credited as Joshua Gad and Joshua Ilan Gad) is an American actor, singer, and comedian born on February 23, 1981, in Hollywood, Florida. Known for his energetic comic timing and distinctive voice work, Gad has built a career that spans Broadway, film, and animation.
He is internationally recognized as the voice of Olaf in Disney’s Frozen franchise, a performance that earned him two Annie Awards and continues with upcoming projects like Frozen III. On stage, Gad originated Elder Cunningham in the Broadway hit The Book of Mormon, a breakout role that brought him a Tony nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical and a Grammy win as part of the show’s celebrated cast recording.
Beyond musicals and animation, Gad’s screen credits include comedies and genre titles such as The Rocker, 21, Watching the Detectives, and Adulthood. He has also lent his voice to characters like Muncher in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Gus in Strays, underscoring his versatility across live-action and voice roles.
