Josh Hutcherson

Josh Hutcherson (also credited as Joshua Ryan Hutcherson) is an American actor born on October 12, 1992, in Union, Kentucky. After getting his start in the early 2000s with commercials and small screen roles, he quickly emerged as a standout young performer, earning multiple Teen Choice, Young Artist, and MTV Movie Awards, plus a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.

Hutcherson’s breakthrough came in a run of high-profile youth films, including Zathura: A Space Adventure, RV, Bridge to Terabithia (as Jess Aarons), and Journey to the Center of the Earth. He also appeared in projects like American Splendor, Firehouse Dog, and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, building a reputation for balancing heart, humor, and intensity.

Global fame followed when he was cast as Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games film series (2012–2015), a role he also revisited in behind-the-scenes specials such as The World Is Watching and Surviving the Game. In the same era, he starred in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and voiced a key character in the animated film Epic.

In later years, Hutcherson shifted toward independent work and TV, notably leading the series Future Man, while continuing to expand his profile with mainstream hits like Five Nights at Freddy's and The Beekeeper. He has also pursued filmmaking behind the camera, serving as an executive producer on titles including Detention, The Forger, and Escobar: Paradise Lost.
