Josh Lawson
Josh Lawson (also credited as Joshua Lawson) is an Australian screen actor born on July 22, 1981, in Brisbane, Queensland. Known for sharp comic timing and scene-stealing supporting turns, he has built a career that moves comfortably between Australian productions and major U.S. series and films.
Lawson gained wide attention on American television as Doug Gugghenheim in House of Lies (2012), later appearing as Tate on Superstore (2015). His work often blends humor with edge, a balance that has helped him stand out in ensemble casts and character-driven stories.
In feature films, he reached a new level of global visibility playing Kano in Mortal Kombat (2021) and is set to return as Revenant Kano in Mortal Kombat II. His other notable credits include Any Questions for Ben? (as Ben), The Little Death (as Paul), The Campaign (as Tripp), and voice work in Rocket Dog.
More recently, Lawson continues expanding his range with roles such as Bruce in St. Denis Medical (2024), while remaining a familiar face for audiences following his evolving filmography.
