Josh Miller
Josh Miller (born September 23, 1978, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American screen artist best known for his work as a writer, while also moving fluidly between directing and acting. He has been credited under variations including Joshua Miller and the nickname Worm Miller, reflecting a career that spans studio projects and cult-leaning genre fare.
Miller is widely recognized for co-creating the Fox animated series Golan the Insatiable and for his screenwriting on Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog films. A frequent creative partner of longtime friend Patrick Casey, he has helped shape a brand of comedy-forward storytelling that plays equally well in animation, family franchises, and horror-comedy.
Behind the camera, Miller directed the horror-comedy Hey... Stop Stabbing Me!, and his on-screen credits include roles in titles such as National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze, Dorm Daze 2, Transylmania, and Shotgun Wedding. He also appeared as himself in Best Christmas Movies Ever!.
Beyond film and TV, Miller co-founded and hosts Los Angeles’ long-running horror screening series Friday Night Frights. He also contributed criticism and interviews to the former cinema site CHUD.com, spotlighting filmmakers and performers across the industry.
