Julia Roberts (also credited as Julia Fiona Roberts and Julia F. Roberts) is an American screen artist born on October 28, 1967, in Smyrna, Georgia. Celebrated for leading roles across romance, drama, comedy, and thrillers, she became one of Hollywood’s defining stars thanks to a rare mix of warmth, wit, and emotional precision.

After early attention in films such as Flatliners, Roberts’ global breakthrough arrived with Pretty Woman, where her turn as Vivian Ward cemented her status as a top box-office draw. She continued to headline major hits through the 1990s and beyond, including Notting Hill as movie star Anna Scott and Hook as a sparkling Tinkerbell.

Roberts earned the Academy Award for portraying the tenacious title character in Erin Brockovich, a performance often cited as a benchmark of modern screen acting. She later joined the sleek ensemble of Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve as Tess Ocean, while also taking on acclaimed dramatic roles like Kitty Kiernan in Michael Collins.
