Kajal Aggarwal
Kajal Aggarwal (also credited as Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu) is an Indian actor and former model born on July 19, 1985, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. A familiar face across South Indian cinema, she has built a star career spanning Telugu and Tamil films, earning multiple Filmfare Awards South nominations along the way.
She first appeared on screen in Bollywood with Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... (2004), then moved into Telugu cinema with Lakshmi Kalyanam (2007). The same year, the hit Chandamama helped her gain wide attention, setting the stage for bigger leading roles.
A major breakthrough arrived with S. S. Rajamouli’s epic Magadheera (2009), where she played Mitravinda/Indu—an acclaimed performance in one of Telugu cinema’s landmark blockbusters. She consolidated her popularity with crowd-pleasers such as Darling (as Nandini), Mr. Perfect (as Priya) and Aarya 2 (as Geetha), becoming one of Tollywood’s most bankable stars.
In Tamil cinema, Aggarwal expanded her reach through prominent projects including Pazhani (as Deepti) and later films like Karungaapiyam (as Karthika). In recent years, she has continued to take on varied roles, including Bhagavanth Kesari as Dr. Kathyayani “Kaachi” and Uma in the title role, while also remaining active in stage appearances and brand endorsements.
