Kane Kosugi

Kane Kosugi (also credited as Kane Takeshi Kosugi; こすぎ たけし; ケイン・タケシ・コスギ) is an American actor, martial artist, and media personality born on October 11, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. Of Chinese and Japanese heritage, he built a cross-Pacific career that blends athletic screen combat with mainstream entertainment in both Japan and the United States.

The son of martial-arts film icon Sho Kosugi, Kane entered the industry early, appearing as a child alongside his father and later earning attention for his dynamic presence in Japanese television. A key breakthrough came with his role as Jiraiya (Ninja Black) in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, where he became one of the first American-born performers to suit up as a sentai hero.

Across more than three decades of work, Kosugi has amassed a filmography spanning action cinema, genre franchises, and adaptations. Notable credits include DOA: Dead or Alive as Ryu Hayabusa, Godzilla: Final Wars as Katsunori Kazama, War as the Temple Garden Warrior, and Journey of Honor as Yorimune, as well as voice work in Baton.
