Karan Soni
Karan Soni (born January 8, 1989, in New Delhi, India) is an Indian-American actor and comedian recognized for sharp, scene-stealing comedic turns across film, television, and voice work. He broke through with his fan-favorite performance as Dopinder in the Deadpool franchise, and later expanded his profile by voicing Pavitr Prabhakar / Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Soni moved to the United States to study business at the University of Southern California, but soon pivoted toward acting. His feature debut arrived with the indie sci-fi comedy Safety Not Guaranteed (as Arnau), followed by prominent TV roles including Betas and Other Space, helping establish him as a reliable comedic presence.
In recent years, he has continued to balance live-action and animation, appearing in Not Okay (as Kelvin) and The People We Hate at the Wedding (as Dominic), while lending his voice to projects like Trolls Holiday in Harmony (as Riff) and World’s Best. Additional credits include A Nice Indian Boy (as Naveen Gavaskar) and Paper Flowers (as Milan), underscoring his range beyond punchline-driven roles.
