Kate Dickie
Kate Dickie (also credited as Katie Dickie and known in some markets as Кейт Дікі) is a Scottish screen and stage actor, born on March 23, 1971, in East Kilbride, Scotland. Celebrated for her fearless, emotionally precise performances, she has built a career that moves confidently between independent cinema and major studio productions.
Dickie’s breakout came with her starring debut in Red Road (2006), where she played Jackie, a surveillance operator drawn into a tense personal reckoning. The role brought her top acting honors at BAFTA Scotland and the British Independent Film Awards, establishing her as one of the most compelling talents to emerge from modern British film.
Since then, she has delivered memorable work across genres, from science fiction in Prometheus (as Ford) to dark drama and character-driven stories such as Filth (Chrissie), Outcast (Mary), Damaged (Laura Kessler), Summer (Janice), and Sorority (Val). She has also appeared in global hits including Star Wars: The Last Jedi and acclaimed films like The Green Knight, alongside standout turns in Robert Eggers’ The Witch and The Northman.
Beyond the screen, Dickie is known for supporting the theatre company Solar Bear, recognized for creative collaborations with deaf artists and communities—an extension of her commitment to inclusive storytelling.
