Kate Dolan
Kate Dolan (also known as 케이트 돌란) is an Irish writer-director recognized for genre storytelling that blends sharp social observation with unsettling horror.
She first drew wide attention with the satirical horror short Catcalls (2017), a punchy, darkly comic work that helped establish her voice and signaled a filmmaker unafraid to tackle contemporary anxieties through genre.
Dolan expanded that approach in the psychological horror feature You Are Not My Mother (2021), leaning into mood, character, and creeping dread to craft a story that resonated with horror audiences and festival viewers alike.
Continuing to move across horror’s subgenres, she is also associated with the sci-fi horror project SOULM8TE (2026), underscoring her growing profile as a director to watch in modern Irish and international horror cinema.
