Katharine Isabelle

Katharine Isabelle (born November 2, 1981, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian screen actor known for intense, genre-driven performances. Also credited as Katharine Isobel Murray, Katie Murray, and Kate Murray, she has built a career that spans television and feature films, with a particular reputation in horror.

Isabelle began acting as a child, landing an early on-screen appearance in the TV series MacGyver in 1989. Her breakout arrived with her portrayal of Ginger Fitzgerald in the cult werewolf saga Ginger Snaps, followed by Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning. Those roles helped cement her status as one of Canada’s most recognizable modern “scream queens.”

Beyond the franchise, she has continued to pop up in high-profile projects and character parts, including Freddy vs. Jason (Gibb), Insomnia (Tanya Francke), The Last Casino (Elyse), and the 2013 remake of Carrie (Tina Blake). Her credits also include Cousins, Burning Bridges, and Disturbing Behavior, reflecting a steady range across thrillers, drama, and mainstream studio fare.
