Katherine Waterston
Katherine Waterston (also credited as Katherine Boyer Waterston) is a British-American screen actor born on March 3, 1980, in London, England. Raised in a creative family—her father is actor Sam Waterston and her mother is model Lynn Louisa Woodruff—she gravitated early toward performance and storytelling.
After training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Waterston began building her career with a mix of independent features and studio projects. She made her film debut in 2007, appearing in Michael Clayton and The Babysitters, and soon became known for grounded, intelligent character work.
Her profile expanded with high-visibility roles in films such as Steve Jobs (2015) and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), while she continued to choose offbeat, character-driven titles. Among her notable credits are Good Dick, Robot & Frank, Enter Nowhere, Park Avenue, Run, Floodplain, and Chryskylodon Blues.
