Kathryn Hunter

Kathryn Hunter (born April 9, 1957, in New York City) is a stage and screen actress, also known as Aikaterini Hadjipateras. Celebrated for her fearless transformations and physical-theatre approach, she has built an international reputation spanning classical drama, contemporary film, and prestige television.

Mainstream audiences may recognize Hunter as Arabella Figg in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, while recent viewers have discovered her as Eedy Karn in the Star Wars series Andor. She also drew wide acclaim for embodying the Three Witches in Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth, a performance that highlighted her singular command of movement, voice, and character.

Her filmography ranges from Mike Leigh’s All or Nothing to the darkly comic mystery Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, alongside credits such as Girls' Night, Grushko, The Pod Generation, and Maria's Child.
