Kathryn Newton

Kathryn Newton (also credited as Kathryn Love Newton) is an American screen actress born on February 8, 1997, in Orlando, Florida. She broke out early on television, gaining wide attention as Louise Brooks on CBS’s comedy Gary Unmarried, before moving into higher-profile dramatic work across premium cable and streaming.

Newton became a familiar face to TV audiences through recurring and starring roles, including Abigail Carlson on HBO’s acclaimed mystery drama Big Little Lies and Allie Pressman in Netflix’s teen drama The Society. She also appeared in notable arcs on long-running series such as The CW’s Supernatural and AMC’s period tech drama Halt and Catch Fire, showcasing range from genre storytelling to character-driven drama.

On the film side, Newton has built a varied résumé spanning comedy, thriller, and horror. Her credits include Bad Teacher, Paranormal Activity 4 (earning a Young Artist Award for leading young actress), and crowd-pleasers like Pokémon Detective Pikachu and Freaky. In recent years she stepped into blockbuster territory with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and continued her momentum with projects such as Lisa Frankenstein and Abigail (as Sammy).
